Allyson Felix
Meet one of the greatest female runners in history
Allyson Felix holds the record for the most Olympic medals of any female track and field athlete.
At the time of writing , she has won six gold and three silver medals-and she's hoping to win more at the 2021 Olympic Games.
This will be her fifth appearance at the games, after which she says she is thinking about retiring.
Felix has been waiting for her next chance at an Olympic medal for a long time.
She had been training hard and feeling optimistic about her chances in 2020.
But then she found out that the games were postpone for a year.
Felix was disappointed , but she didn't let the situation keep her down for long.
Instead , she stayed positive and felt grateful for her health and her family.
Felix continued finding place to train, pushing herself to do her best.
She kept meeting with her coach, who trained her from six feet away, wearing a mask and gloves.
Her daily routine includes two and a half to three hours of running.
She also spends two hours lifting weights at home since strength is important for sprinters.
