Why Bears sleep all winter?

Big Brown Bear slept while they labored.

When he woke up, it was dark inside the log.

"It must still be night," he thought.

So he went back to sleep.

He slept,and he slept ,and he slept.

Fuzzy Rabbit found a new home and filled it full of food.

Winter arrived. Fuzzy Rabbit stayed pleasantly warm and had enough to eat thanks to her friends.

Big Brown Bear finally woke up when he heard birds chirping.

He pushed the leaves , dried mud and rocks out of the log and went outside

It was spring. "I slept all winter,"he said.

"I think i will do that every winter from now on.

That was long ago.

Fuzzy Rabbit still tries to be kind to all of the other animals,including Big Brown Bear.

Fuzzy Rabbit knows that she will have an adequate amount of food for winter because she doesn't have to share with Big Brown Bear.

Bear always sleep all winter.
