The customer
How do you deal with rude people?

At 5:30 a.m., Candace unlocked the door of her father's convenience store and went inside.

She was on her own today for the first time.

Everything looked clean and tidy.

Candace restocked some of the shelves and checked the coffee and soda machines.

At 6 am., she got behind the counter.

Suddenly, a young woman in fashionable clothes pushed past the line of people.

She dropped a pile of items on the counter .

"Ring these up right away , girl. I'm in a hurry," she snapped.


By 10:00 , the store was really busy .

Several people were waiting in line in front of the counter.

"Miss, you'll need to wait in line with the others,'' said Candace politely.

''I'm not waiting in line ," the young woman said rudely.

"Don't you know who i am ? I could get you fired!"

Candace was worried .

Who was this woman?

And could she really get her fired?

What should she do ?
