LESSONS FROM NATURE
Geese teach the importance of sharing our tasks
Many of us enjoy watching animals in the wild.
They amuse us, inspire us and , sometimes , even frighten us.
But did you know they can also teach us ?
Geese , for example, teach a very good lesson about teamwork.
In the fall, Canada geese fly south to get away from Canada's cold winter weather.
They lift off in no apparent order.
Yet very quickly they form a V shape, with one bird leading the flock.
Scientists have discovered that this flight formation allows geese to save energy.
When the front bird flaps its wings, the resulting air flow lifts the next goose.
The process continues down the line.
Geese flying in a V-shaped formation can fly 70 percent farther without rest than birds flying alone.
WORK TOGETHER
Whether it is in our personal lives or our professional ones, we need other people.
We are encouraged by their enthusiasm and energy.
If we try to go through life alone, the struggles are greater.
