Bowing
Bowing is another conventional form of greeting, especially in Asia.
Japanese people , for example, tend to greet others by bowing from the waist.
In Thailand, the traditional greeting is called a wai.
People press their palms together and bow their heads.
They communicate extra respect by holding heads more.
Similarly, in India people hold their palms together, lower their heads and say , ''Namaste.''
Younger people in the Philippines bow to their elders as a sign of respect.
While doing this, they press their elder's hands to their foreheads.

Sometimes their foreheads touch as well.
This greeting is called hongi.
Greeting are a way to display respect, love and simple friendliness.
