被動語態
The Passive Voice


被動語態，隨著時態（tense）以及語體（aspect）的不同，而有多種變化型態。例如有過去被動式（had been P.P.）、過去進行被動式（was being P.P.）等。每種形式所強調的「目的」不同。

例如本堂課中我們所學會兩種： 現在完成被動 - The internet has been designed to take advantage of this desire for novelty by showing you more novelty than you can ever dream of.，強調某事項已經被完成。 現在進行被動 - We are being targeted by corporations seeking to take advantage of us and make a profit.，強調某事項正在被執行中。

例句
The mischievous boy is being told by his mum not to make fun of his sister.

那個頑皮男孩正被他媽媽告誡不要嘲笑他的妹妹。

These lands have been cultivated by farmers for as long as we know it.

在我們有認知以來，這些土地就已被農夫們耕作了。

The computer is being repaired.
