Interrogative Words with -ever
When we add "ever" after interrogative words such as "wh-" or "how," they function as "no matter + interrogative words," used to say that "something happens whatever the situation is". Take this lesson's sentence as an example, "Grocery delivery, pharmaceutical deliveries, whatever it is that they need from outside if they don't want to go out." Here, "whatever it is" can be replaced with "no matter what it is".

Wh-以及how等疑問詞後方加上ever，會等於No matter + 這些疑問詞，意為「不管/無論~」。
此時，句子就不是疑問句，而是表達在任何條件之下，都會有特定的結果。
舉例來說，本次影片中的例句：Grocery delivery, pharmaceutical deliveries, whatever it is that they need from outside if they don't want to go out.（如果他們不想出門，只要是他們所需的，無論是雜貨還是藥物，我們都可以配送。）後半句whatever it is 也可以寫成 no matter what it is。
