名詞子句
Noun Clause
A noun clause refers to a clause inserted into a sentence, serving the functions of a noun. In this video, in the sentence "That's what everybody wants, isn't it?", "what everybody wants" acts as the noun/object, meaning "the thing (that) everybody wants".
所謂名詞子句,就是在句子當中嵌入一個地位形同名詞的子句。以本支影片所出現的句子舉例, That's what everybody wants, isn't it?(這就是人人都想要的,不是嗎?)本句的 what everybody wants,便是扮演名詞/受詞的功能,表示「每個人所想要的東西」。因此,它也可以改寫成 the thing (that) everyone wants。
