Noodles of the world
Europe
Spaghetti may be the most famous kind of Italian pasta, but it is far from the only one.
Each of Italy's 20 regions has its own style of food, including pasta of different shapes.
Pasta can be round, tube-shaped or long and thin.
The city of Florence even developed noodles that look like lilies, the city's symbol.
Regions also have their own traditional sauces made from readily available ingredients .
Other European countries have noodle dishes as well.
One example is German spaetzle, small , thick noodles with irregular shapes.
Spaetzle is served as a side dish or in soup.
North America
America children love " macaroni and cheese," noodles in a creamy cheese sauce.
And in North America chicken noodle soup is a traditional home remedy for colds.
Noodles are a truly international food.
They are a dish that everyone enjoys, but each country has its own way of making noodles special.
